Cocktail Installation Overview

Preparations

The following programs must be installed before installing Cocktail. Otherwise, an error will occur.

1) Download and install Docker (Required)

2) Download and install Vagrant (Optional, For local test using virtualbox)

3) Download VirtualBox (5.1.x version) (Optional, For local test using virtualbox)

4) Create and add private & public SSH keys (Required)

• SSH keys are used to access server instances without password.

• The SSH key paths are specified in the key path entry of the cube.yaml file. For more information, refer to the documentation for each installation section. You can easily create SSH key pair as below:

# ssh-keygen -f /path/to/file -t rsa -N ''
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Your identification has been saved in /path/to/file.
Your public key has been saved in /path/to/file.pub.
The key fingerprint is:
SHA256:D5aprMbBbJFUPo7gKgLFXH8WGHsXCpm8HCKSQXO8gDE cloud@Clouds-MacBook-Pro.local

• For convenience, you can add private key identities to the authentication agent as below:

# ssh-add /path/to/ssh_private_file

5) Download kubectl (Optional)
